Welcome to my homepage! The above two quotes are from my favorite books and reflect my research interests.
My primary interests are in applied cryptography, security, privacy, combinatorics, and social and complex network analysis.
I am currently working on security and privacy of clouds, mobile ad hoc networks, vehicular networks, social networks and smart grids.
I am interested in designing practical cryptographic protocols for Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems. Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are now big on my agenda.
I joined ISI in May 2013, after a brief but very enjoyable stint as Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology, Indore.
I am an Associate Professor since May 2018.
I completed my Ph. D. at Indian Statistical Institute, India in 2009. My advisor was Prof. Bimal Roy. My Ph. D. thesis is about applications of combinatorial designs to key predistribution. During my Ph. D., I spent the summers at University of Wollongong, Australia, INRIA Roquencourt, France and Microsoft Research Labs, India.
I was born and raised in Durgapur Steel City in India, went to Carmel School, Durgapur Steel township till grade 10 (1998) and then DAV Model School(2000).
I am very fond of fish/seafood, green-black-white tea and whenever I get the opportunity, I check out items in my long and ever-increasing want-to-do-list.
